Dr. Vito Bobek

Vito Bobek works as professor of international management at the University of applied sciences FH Joanneum (Graz, Austria). In his academic career he published over 400 units and visited 22 universities worldwide as visiting professor. He is a member of editorial board in five international journals and open access publishing company. He has a long history in academia, consulting and entrepreneurship.

In 2010 he founded a consulting company Palemid where he managed 20 big projects, such as Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Slovenia-Austria (2014 – 2020) and Capacity Building for the Serbian Chamber of Enforcement Agents. He has also participated in many international projects in Italy, Germany, the UK, the U.S., Spain, Turkey, France, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, Malaysia, and China. He is also co-founder of Academy of Regional Management in Slovenia. During the last 17 years, he was also a member of supervisory board at KBM Infond Management Company Ltd. which is a part of the Nova KBM, Plc. banking group. Nova KBM is the second largest Slovenian bank. Currently KBM Infond Ltd. manages Umbrella Fund with 22 sub-funds with assets in excess of 300+ million Euros. Since 2017 he is a vice-president at Save-Ideas.com.

Among his previous functions, he was a columnist in the newspaper Vecer, member of Team Europe Slovenia, member of the Academic Expert Group in the Commission of the EU (DG Education) for Socrates/Erasmus project evaluation and adviser to the Minister of Economic Relations and Development of Slovenia for the strategy of International Economic Relations.

Slovenia

Bojan Mažgon MSc.

He specializes in the public sector – he brings 18 years of experience in public administration in various functions to the VIS project (vision and strategy of the municipality), such as mayor, director of the municipal administration, head of state funds, member of the municipal council, supervisory board, etc. He dedicated his research work in the Master’s program to the problems of development and financing of local communities in Slovenia, the European Union and other countries.

Within the framework of the consulting firm, he is also active in business, as a project manager for the renewal, optimization and strategy of processes.

Slovenia-Austria

Dr. Anita Maček

Anita Maček has a PhD in Economics (2009) from the University of Maribor, Faculty of Economics and Business. She is currently employed at the University of Applied Sciences Applied FH Joanneum, Graz, Austria and in Doba Faculty, Maribor, Slovenia. In 2016 she has been elected associate professor in economics.

Her main research interests are International Capital Flows, Foreign Direct Investments, International Business, Smart Cities, and Regional Development.

Slovenia

Filip Bobek

Filip Bobek works in project management and marketing. His previous work experience includes organizing and leading projects (culture, education, entertainment), work and communication in member organizations, management and implementation of social media campaigns, document processing, sales and marketing. He is also an external contributor to Save-Ideas, an international platform for the protection and exploitation of intellectual property based in Australia, and Enim Ltd, a sports equipment distributor.

In Palemid, he is currently working on the Interreg project ‘Strengthening the capacities of cross-border organizations in the field of regional development – capCROSSplan’ within cross-border programme Slovenia – Hungary.

Italy

Alessandro Torello, M.A.

Alessandro Torello is an international trade consultant. He worked in the customs and international trade departments of various multinationals for a few years. Concerning his academic background, he got an MA in European studies in 2010 and an MA in international relations in 2014, both at the University of Siena in Italy. In 2019 he also graduated in law. He is currently following a PhD programme. He is a named expert of Intellectual property and trade law at the University of Macerata (department of Economics and Law).

Previously, he was a named expert of International trade law and finance. His areas of specialisation and research are: international transport and logistics, international trade law and EU customs legislation. He speaks Italian (as native), English and Spanish. He has a basic knowledge of Slovenian.

Ireland – United Kingdom – Austria

Iona Cecily Moore Kirkpatrick

From 2011 to 2013, Iona spent considerable time working in the marketing and political sector, at Wadworth’s Brewery and the Houses of Parliament. This was followed by roles as a Support Assistant and Property Research Executive with Goodman Nash, a well-known rating agency in the UK. During the course of her bachelor in Russian at Durham University (2014-2018), Iona was heavily involved in English teaching at various institutions, namely at the university itself, Tomsk State University and on a private basis in Vienna.

Her semester abroad was spent both in parts of Russia, attending HEIs, and in Vienna where she held the role of Personal Assistant to the Director of a well-known theatre.

Last but not least, Iona has now been working in financial translation services at myWorld Solutions AG as of October 2018 and has just begun a post as Project Manager with an NGO, The Child & Family Foundation, based in Graz. During her time at mWS, Iona gathered work experience at the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) in Vienna and completed her MsC in European Project & Public Management at the FH Joanneum, Graz.

Austria – Serbia

Mladen Vučković, MA

Mladen Vuckovic is consultant with ten years of working experience in business analysis of different industries. Bachelor in economics and master degree in international project management he gained at University of Niš (Serbia). In 2017 he specialized master course of business in emerging markets at FH Joanneum in Austria.

For many years, Mladen Vuckovic has been active in field business/marketing plans, investment studies for companies, as well as trainer and consultant in many international research projects. He participated in different projects financed by the European Commission and USAID. Currently, he is living in Graz (Austria), where he is working as logistic officer. Mladen is fluent in English and German and uses Russian language.

Namibia – Austria

Israel Dollo Hauwanga

Mr. Hauwanga has obtained B Juris law Degree at the University of Namibia (2006-2009) and LLB law Honours Degree at University of Namibia (2009-2010). He is currently engaged in Master of Leadership and Change Management, at Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business, Namibian University of Science and Technology (2017- to date) and Master of Business in Emerging Markets at FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Austria (2019 to date).

His working experience includes District Court Magistrate at Katima Mulilo, Magistrates Commission, Namibia, Ministry of Justice; Senior District Court Magistrate, at Khorixas (Magistrates Commission, Namibia, Ministry of Justice); Senior District Court Magistrateat Mariental, Aranos, Maltahohe (Magistrates Commission, Namibia, Ministry of Justice); and Commercial Legal Advisor at the Director & Board of Trustees.

Austria

Moritz Jellenz

Moritz Jellenz is currently participating in the international master’s program ‘Business in Emerging Markets’ at the University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum in Graz. He covers his three major fields of interest with his bachelor’s degree in production engineering, his secondary- and tertiary education in project management and his latest professional training in business economics.

His persistent and purposeful mindset enabled him to participate in trainee programs (e.g. Siemens AG), collecting global experience especially while living and studying abroad, and publishing an open-access book as a co-author (InTechOpen). His research activities are based on development issues in Sub-Saharan-African regions.

His favourite work environment is a dynamic, rapid and business-oriented one. Language connects: next to German (mother tongue) and English he is improving his French and Spanish skills.

Austria

Thomas Scheipl, MA

After spending an exchange semester in South Korea and after finishing bachelor program in International Management in 2017, Mr. Thomas Scheipl continued studying in master program Business in Emerging Markets in the Department of management at the University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum, Graz, Austria, obtaing MA degree in 2019.. During study period he spent an exchange semester in China.

His professional experience includes sales of steel products in the South German market for Breitenfeld Edelstahl AG, being part of the „Young Graduate Program of voestalpine High Performance Metals, internship at Böhler Edelstahl in the purchasing department, and internship at voestalpine High Performance Metals GmbH in Vienna. During 2015 and 2018he has been involved in various projects: Analysis of the market situation and cultural barriers in China for the Green Tech Cluster Styria, Development of a business plan for the FH Joanneum Racing Team, Analysis and optimization of the purchasing processes of various plants of the voestalpine High Performance Metals Division, Development of a market entry strategy for the company UNYCOM GmbH (located in Graz) in Japan.

Daniela Ramírez Navarro, MBA

Daniela Ramírez Navarro works as an Accountant Auditor, with MBA experience in the areas of audit management and control. Her experience includes: Performance of external and internal audits of large companies; consulting, review and preparation of financial statements, evaluation of efficiency and safety of processes, evaluation of the adequacy of controls.

Management of public and private projects; planning and control of strategies aimed at organizing, advising and managing budgetary control and real results of the operation; restructuring and procedures, analysis of results and correlation of variables, projection of impacts of financial-accounting policies and risks in the company’s results.
